The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation (Russian: ВСМПО-АВИСМА) is the Russian holding company of VSMPO TiRus GmbH. As the largest manufacturer of titanium and all types of semi-finished parts made of titanium alloys worldwide, it has branch offices all over the world - amongst others in the Ukraine, Switzerland, England, Germany and the USA.
Spearhead in the titanium segment
Besides titanium, VSMPO-AVISMA also produces aluminium, magnesium and some steel alloys. With more than 250 international certificates for quality management, methods of production, manufacturing and control, the company forms the spearhead in the global titanium market - not least as a result of the merger with the largest international sponge titanium manufacturer "Avisma" in the year 1998.

Since its establishment in the year 1956, VSMPO-AVISMA supplies important technology industries such as the medicine, automotive or aircraft industry. The company has more than 300 clients in 48 nations. Renowned aviation companies such as Boeing or Airbus are strategic partners; and other industry leaders such as General Electric, Rolls Royce, Pratt&Wittney, SNECMA are also among the permanent customers.
Long name, short sales channels
The abbreviation VSMPO correspondingly stands for "Verkhnesald Metallurgic Production Association" (Russian: Verkhnesaldinskoye metallurgicheskoye proizvodstvennoye ob'yedineniye or Верхнесалдинское металлургическое производственное объединение).
